Karen Laing, our corporate communications specialist, is an award-winning journalist who thrives when challenged with short turn-around times and tight industry standards and deadlines.
Her service as director and chair at Prospera (formerly Fraser Valley) Credit Union gives her great insight regarding all levels of business and hands-on experience with high-level corporate governance. This makes her the ideal choice when seeking a writer to develop and deliver both internal and external corporate communications, including annual reports, governance guides, and policies-and-procedures manuals. Of course, she does love to return to her roots and put pen to paper for magazine, newspaper, and newsletter articles.
When working as campaign manager during three municipal elections, Karen delivered innovative and compelling writing and layout that served her candidate in both speech and print.
Karen is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors Education Program, jointly developed by the Institute of Corporate Directors and the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, where she earned her ICD.D designation in 2009.
