In honour of B.C. Day, here are a couple of B.C. vine values (both under $15) from Gehringer Brothers Estate Winery, located in the Golden Mile area of Oliver, B.C. They serve up two uncomplicated value-packed wines for summer sipping:
- The Dry Rock Chardonnay ($11.99) is crisp and fresh and would suit most lightweight summer foods.
- The Dry Rock Merlot ($13.99) has aromas and flavours of plums and spice combined with soft tannins that make this an easy-drinking red wine.
I've given you a link to their website's home page above, but hesitate to link you directly to the wines; their website is rather plodding and frustrating and could use a whole lot of tech help, even though it's been created on a Mac.
Salut!
