It's in the cards: Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fraser Valley to be big winners at Rowena's Inn

Hold 'em? Fold 'em? Play 'em?

Whatever you decide on Friday, May 2 at Rowena's Inn on the River, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fraser Valley benefits.

The evening includes all sorts of activities: Dinner, pre-dinner reception cocktails, midnight buffet, prizes, live entertainment, and so much more.

Of course, there is the poker game, with very limited seating.

And don't forget the wine tasting, featuring Mt. Lehman Winery. I'll be pouring and presenting.

If you want to stay the night at Rowena's, they are offering event-goers a discount. There are still a couple of rooms available--snap one up if you don't want to drive.

Over the next few months, I will pair a wine to whatever recipe the good folks at Lepp Farm Market decide to share. This promises to be delicious fun--for me and my friends and family--as I try a variety of wines from all over the world, including B.C.'s Okanagan and Fraser Valley wine regions, with the food and then pick the best of the bunch to share with you.

I've always said that any wine is better when shared and I love that Lepp Farm Market tags its The Farmer and the Foodie segment with the same sentiment.
