How likely are you to judge someone's personality based on his or her appearance? What about a book—does the cover make a difference?
And then there is wine. Does the wine's label influence your purchase? What about how you perceive the contents? Does the label make you think it should taste a certain way?
Welcome to The Label Project.
I am very lucky to be one of 12 wine bloggers in Canada (many more world wide) participating in a fun adventure with three wines that have no labels but do come with clues.
My task is to consider the clues, taste the wine, identify each wine's variety(ies), corresponding region, and then provide an explanation as to why I think what I do.
Simple, no? No.
So, what's in it for me? Well, I get to have some fun, taste some wine, work my deductive wine brain, and, quite possibly, win a trip valued at $5,000 AUD to the winery sponsoring this project. On Oct. 1, the winery behind all this will be revealed, and then on Oct. 4 we'll find out which one of the 12 Canadian bloggers has won the trip.
My deadline is Fri., Sept. 28 at 5:00 PM. I need to finish up soon.
Salut!
