Sometimes I like to dream.
I think my wife Kathleen does, too.
Today we ventured into downtown
While waiting for the lottery people to open the doors, we sat on a bench outside the
Uva, a wine bar and restaurant, was right across the street.
Funny that . . . Kathleen (with her blog at www.betweenthevines.ca) is a perpetual student of wine who will be presenting at Tradex Sept. 17-19 in Abbotsford for the huge and always entertaining Eat!
So if by chance we won the 28th floor, sub-penthouse suite with its two bedrooms and wrap-around windows offering a spectacular view of the city, we would have a venue suited to her passions only a few steps away .
Wonderful.
We've mentally moved into the condo already. I don't know what we will do with all the years of stuff that's accumulated in our 'other' home.
But today was a day for dreamers.
We lived well, ate well and smiled a lot.
How many of you dreamed today?
Owen, it is always a joy to promote and encourage the good things you are doing. In terms of dreaming ... yes, without it where are we. But dreams come with a plan and it looks like you have a big plan in the works.

I am the biggest dreamer you know. Nothing happens without a dream 1st. I would rather dream of something and fail then not dream of anything and succeed. Thanks for your words of encouragement.
Cheers
Owen

Excellent first post Rick and might I saw that it's about time! I look forward to many more posts and photos, also anticipating some stunners from Hawaii.

I dream often. Most recently I was owner of a cheese shop, and the next night one of my closest friends opened a bakery.
The current eyes-wide-open dream is that of writing, which I'm seeing to fruition. Wide awake dreaming is certainly the most fun.
BTW - Uva is a great wine bar; can't wait to mosey down there for a glass or two in celebration of your new digs.

Hey Rick, never stop dreaming, there's so much to we can achieve and so little time to do it. We are promised nothing but a short time to make the world a better place for us and those around us.
You are one of my favorite dreamers, remember to ask yourself how many people are better off because you lived?
Dream for those who can't dream, then help see it.
Talk to you soon, Owen.
